Luka Heijdenrijk

Welcome to my website! My name is Luka Heijdenrijk. I am currently working as a Software Engineer in the tech industry where I dabble in various areas of technology, including desktop- mobile and web-development and (hybrid) cloud infrastructure.

This page used to contain a list of my projects, but I have since decided to remove that section, as most of them are now quite outdated. If you are curious about what I have been working on more recently, you can find some of my projects on my GitHub page linked above. Otherwise, you can read some "lore" about me below.

From a young age, I have been deeply interested in computers and everything related to them. I started writing small programs to display simple outputs on the screen at an early age. This passion led me to join several clubs focused on computing and programming. Through these clubs, I learned to create websites, and at the age of ten, I received my first paid project. My curiosity then extended to computer hardware, and I built my first computer. Now I routinely build computers and servers for myself, friends, and family.

When I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted a career in IT, so I chose to pursue a degree in IT. After my first year, I specialized in Software Engineering, focusing specifically on web development. Along the way, I also took courses in infrastructure, security, and (a little) machine learning, expanding my skill set and knowledge in these areas.

Since then, I have completed numerous projects, including building various websites and apps, both for personal and professional use. I have also built and managed multiple servers, utilizing virtualization and containerization technologies as hobby projects. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in both software and hardware.
